BMT Asset Performance uses predictive modelling and data analytics to support customers in both the defence and commercial domains. Customers have gained insight into their system designs and support solutions allowing for informed decision making. The range of analyses we offer enable design weaknesses to be identified and asset performance to be improved with consideration for safety, risk and through life cost.

Modelling and analytics allows for timely, fast, and cost effective decision making through improved understanding of assets by means of numerical representation. From the outset of design (where design freedom is unlimited), through to asset disposal, this enables customers to predict current performance whilst allowing opportunity to explore alternatives and use ‘what if’ scenarios to identify the most effective means to improve design, optimise support, and minimise any vulnerabilities to safety issues and risk. Models and analytics offer powerful methods to understand how the behaviour of interacting components, systems and support infrastructures are likely to impact the user. Regardless of complexity, a system or supply chain can be simplified to define the key features and dependencies that underpin performance, which are then modelled using suitable techniques to predict the response of the system to a particular set of conditions.
